From humble beginnings in 1975, the birth of Atlas Cars by a small group of dedicated drivers heralded the first taxi business in the area to use radios to despatch and control their vehicles.
Over 40 successful years later the evolution of Atlas Cars into Atlas Taxis has led to the installation of the most up to date taxi despatch and control system available.
Thanks to our determination from the very beginning to invest in technology we have been able to provide a safe and efficient service and remain a firm favourite with our customers.

Our fully equipped workshop (Atlas Autos) is where we maintain and valet our vehicles.
Complete with fully qualified vehicle technician we maintain our vehicles far in excess of the vehicle manufacturers recommendations.
We thoroughly inspect our vehicles every four weeks with service intervals at typically half the mileage the manufacturer recommends.
In this way we can be confident that the vehicles that we run are as reliable and as safe as they can be.
Atlas Autos is also open to the general public for servicing and repairs at very competitive prices.

All of our drivers have undergone strict vetting by us and the local council to establish their fitness to drive vocationally.
This includes an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check to ensure passenger safety and a thorough medical.
Our taxi drivers are also required to pass a rigorous knowledge test so that we (and you) can be confident that you will be taken the shortest most efficient route.
