Thanet Taxis is the longest established local taxi and private hire company in Thanet and have been operating for over 33 years. Est. 1982It was originally named Chauffeur Taxis and Private Hire. Today with over 140 vehicles we are able to offer a service which is the envy of other local taxi and private hire operators. We are operational 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and with a fully computerised booking and dispatch system we are able to take bookings quickly and efficiently at all times.

All of the vehicles in our extensive fleet are well maintained and have two local council MOT tests annually in addition to the standard MOT test; they also have regular visual inspections with Thanet District Council licensing officers.
The cars are all modern and kept clean with regular checks made not only by the council but also by the company management.
We are able to offer all types of vehicles from standard saloons, estate cars if you have lots of luggage or larger items (surcharge applicable) as well as 5/6/7 seaters subject to availability.

Long gone are the days of radio taxis, we first went onto a computerised data system in 1994 and since then have updated regularly until in 2004 we teamed up with Cab Despatch Ltd.
The Cab Despatch System is an industry leading software designed specifically for the taxi trade and developed with taxi companies.
It gives us a fantastic array of facilities both in the booking offices where all the work is taken quickly and accurately and then either automatically despatched or manually; dependant on choice.
